This is known and the only cure is to use spacers

Hmm. That works well enough on the piece I'm working on at the moment, as it requires only one spacer at the beginning. But do you happen to know if that is always the case? Thanks!

Since continuous view is by definition one long system, yes, this same approach always works. At most one spacer per staff, anyhow.

One spacer is enough, it just needs to create enough room for the entire system, not just at the place it got placed
