3.2.3 and 3.3.4 don't have that issue, but 3.4.2 has, a serious regression IMHO
Workaround of course is to manually fix this via Mixer.
Comments
Hmm, seems the current development verions doesn't have that issue anymore, so it'd be fixed for 3.5
I suspect https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/5264 fixed this (d82eb9f)
However, I think it needs to get fixed for 3.4 too
I tried several different variations but couldn't reproduce this. Is it possible you have a custom instruments.xml that is messing this up? Or a custom soundfont? Can you give more precise steps to reproduce?
I see, it is a problem with the soundfont, I was using Chris Collins' latest HQ version (0.1.9 IIRC), not the default one nor the HQ from the resource manager (0.1.7?)
Still a regression, but no fix needed for 3.4.
