A technical question
Hi, gang!!!
I Use MuseScore 3.4.1 Portable AppImage in Ubuntu Studio 19.10 (64 bit Linux).
I want to know if there is a "simple" way to change the MIDI patch (instrument sound) of the MuseScore files without to have to open all those files with MuseScore, one by one.
I'm talking about something like the standard audio (WAV/MP3) files tags (labels), which can be changed with some specific apps, without to have to open those files with an audio editing app.
Let's say: We have some music pieces for male quartet and we used clarinets and bassons as sounds for each voice. But, for any reason, we want to change the sounds to something else (french horns, tuba, or whatever).
We can change the sounds with the MuseScore mixer, of course. And, it is easy... When we are talking about one or two pieces. BUT... If we would want to change the sounds of a lot of pieces... Mmmm...
So... Is there some way to edit that specific parameter, with another tool? ???
How? ???
Blessings and Greetings from Chile!!!

Extract the mscx from the mscz and use sed or awk to make the desired changes then pack the mscx back into the mscz.
