musescore program start-up
Not sure if this has been addressed already. I've been having problems with starting up Musescore lately. After an, update (can't remember exactly which), opening the program has taken anywhere from 2-10 minutes. Additionally, after being started, the smaller blue box that appears when you first click to open the program remains, even after the program has been opened and I've started working on a score. It does not obstruct my view but it is still open. Eventually it closes after some time.
Has anyone else had this problem or know a solution?

Was this an OS update or a MuseScore update? And what OS.
Are you having the MDL extension installed?

or any other additional soundfonts for that matter?
Soundfonts get loaded (and when required, unpacked) during startup; the more you have configured by default, the longer MuseScore takes to load them and thus start up.
