Clicking on barline brings it back.
Like entering notes, remove measures, etc. Look in any score that has barline spanning.
It is likely something very specific to the particular score you are working on - I"ve edited literally thousands of scores without any such problems. The one where I did have a problem was one imported from MuseScore 1.3, FWIW. Anyhow, in order to investigate, we need you to attach a score where you are experiencing this problem and give us precise steps to reproduce it.
It happens on literally any score I edited, any with barlines spanning.
Then it should be easy to find one to post. We can't investigate a problem we cannot reproduce, and this does not happen in the vast majority of cases. It must be something unique to your particular set of scores and/or workflow. That's why we need both a score and precise steps to reproduce the problem. Because otherwise, we simply cannot find a way to make this happen.
