MusicXML / Capella score import
There are two issues with automatic conversions when importing scores from Capella (version 7); the attached screen shot shows the correct (intended) version:
a) When importing test01.xml MuseScore converts the 'no-beam' eight notes to 'beamed' notes connected to the three preceeding eight notes.
b) Import of the corresponding score test01.capx (Capella format) shows the same behaviour. In addition, MuseScore changes the e flat notes to d sharp.
Are there options to deactivate these automatic conversions?
OS: openSUSE Leap 15.1, Arch.: x86_64,
MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.4.2., revision: 148e43f
Thanks

At least easily to fix: Import the score, right click on the time signature->time signature properties... and adjust the note groups. For your second request use tools->respell pitches.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Perhaps I should clarify that my objective is to import Capella scores (either in Capella or MusicXML format) as faithfully as possible without the need of manually fixing the score.

Indeed it's a workaround. At least for the MusicXML file it could be a bug/limitation of import. If I open the file with soundlice (https://www.soundslice.com/musicxml-viewer/) it seems to appear in the same way as in your source (without being a developer) .

Well possible that Capella's MusicXML export is just not up to the task.
OTH MuseScore's cap and capx imports in several areas is not up to the task too ;-)
Issue a) seeems fixed in the XML import of 3.6.2 (and Mu4 too).
For issue b) see https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/6032 and now https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/20288
