Playback Ignores Previous Notes

To reproduce the issue
1) Create or Open a score with notes that are held for more than a beat
2) Click on a note that should begin playing after the note in step 1, but before the previous note should end
3) Click the triangular play button for playback

Expected behavior: you hear the previously played notes (that should still be playing in an actual performance) and the currently selected note

Actual behavior: You only hear the new note being played
