Software recommendation for midi controller and soundfont question
So I have a Casio PX 120 for months now. Just now got a midi usb cable for it. I am still trying to get that to work with my computer. But what are some free/commercial software recommendation for being able to use my keyboard to play even more realistic sound than what's built into the keyboard?
It's nice to be able to change the soundfont in musescore. The large 132mb piano soundfont sounds real good. If anyone has an even better bigger one, please let me know. Also by loading this soundfont does it mean that all the midi I load up or no matter what instrument i specify, it will now all be piano?

I use Synthfont which can be used without cost, but that means you can't access the latest version.
It works best with Asio drivers - the standard Windows MIDI driver is like playing through syrup!

I downloaded that 132mb acoustic_grand_piano_ydp_20080910.sf2 soundfont and the piano sounds much better now. I do want to find an even better sf2 file. Maybe from a steinway or Bösendorfer.
