When I have selected a note B#, it says that the note is B#4, but it is supposed to say B#3.
Or it says Cb3, but it's supposed to say Cb4.

Comments
This is by design. Middle C is C4
The pitch might be C4 but it’s B#3.
MuseScore is wrong.
Huh? Sample score needed
There you go.
Ah, I see what you mean. a C4, when getting flattened becomes a Cb3 and a B3 when getting sharpened becomes a B#4
Right. They should be Cb4 and B#3.
I might know the reason for this bug.
Oops, status changed again.
The number, or octave names, are determined by the pitch of the note, not by the note itself.
It seems to be fixed.
I wonder what the fix was then. But I'm not complaining ;-)
FYI, this was a duplicate of #290987: B# and Cb octave change which was fixed in 3.5.
ah, thanks, now I can sleep tonight ;-)
