Possible to switch from small staff to normal and back within score?
I am writing a method book with lots of small pieces separated by text. Most of them are duos for the student and teacher to play together. I love the small staff function for this!! But now I am including a piece that would have the student learn both parts (switch off with the teacher). For this I would like the two parts to be the same size... Is there a way to do this for just a few measures or between section breaks within a score? My creative workaround, which I have not tried yet, would be to add a third staff/ instrument to the whole score and apply the 'hide empty staves' so that this one appears only for this one song and the small staff for all the others. Would that work..? Or is there an easier way?

Using the extra staff and hide empty staves is one way. Another is to use the "Staff type change" element ("S" icon on the text palette) where desired, and then use the Inspector to change the scale at that point. Whether that's easier or not probably depends on the specifics of the situation.
