Multiple Drumsets supported?
New user to MuseScore, so hopefully I'm not overlooking something trivial. Can you only modify the existing drumset (Percussion - Unpitched -> Drumset), or can you have multiple drumsets setup? Let's say you have one drumkit that's a 3up/3down kit and another that's a 2up/1down. You're likely going to want to represent the toms differently than the defaults. Ideally, you'd have multiple drumset configurations saved and it'd print out the applicable drum key onto the music.

I don't know if it'll work, though.

Each percussion staff can have its own set ( and soundfont if necessary )... and it works ; )

So two Instruments?

Two instruments... yes. Changing instruments does not make sense with a percussion staff because this type of staff is not one instrument but a kit of several different instruments and especially the use of this "staff text" crashes MuseScore..

Not worried about two instruments during the same song. When you create a new score, you can "choose your instrument". Under "Percussion - Unpitched", there is only one drumset. I get that you can modify that drumset to be whatever you want....which is great. But suppose I'm done with that score, and I want to create a score for music on a different drumset. I'd like to setup my two drumsets, and then when I create a new score, I can select one of those two drumsets.

I set up 2 drumsets from instruments and then loaded two drm files for the different sets. When I switch between staffs, the drm files change. So it works! Either way, multiple drm files allow you to write for multiple sets whether or not they are in the same score.

Create your own percussion set. Open a new score, load this set. Install eventually a soundfont ( think of "Save it in the partition" in the synthesizer ) and validate it in the mixer then save this partition as a template. You now have it at your disposal in "Menu>Files>New> Custom templates" whenever necessary.
A template can contain several drum staves, each with a different drumset.
