Orientation of rests after a new time signature is put in.
It may seem small, but I have to continuously fix the position of the rests over and over again every time I put in a new time signature because when input a new time signature, the rests automatically order themselves from longest to shortest. Which really makes no sense from a readers view. If changed I believe this would save countless hours moving around rests just to show the proper beat. Attached is a picture of what I mean.

For a French, difficult to understand : in title you say: Orientation of rests......in your text you speak , not of orientation , but, of the lengh of the rests, longest or shortest.......for me, nothing to see with Time signature, it will be the same without.
It's simply because you have bar (measure) with many notes and others with nothing. When you will enter notes in the following bars, they will become longer than when they are empty.
In a director score, it's obliged than all is following the bars where there are many notes.

Orientation meaning where the different lengths are positioned in the measure when a new time signature is inputted with notes already inputted. I understand that the measures themselves will become longer/shorter depending on the time signature, but that doesn't change the fact that the order in which the rests are presented (again, with notes already in the measure) are ordered from greatest to least in terms of length, which makes no sense as shown in my screenshot that I have previously provided.

Indeed, generally speaking it is better to have the time signature you want before entering notes. Is there a reason you are doing it the other way around?

Yes I understand that is the preferred method of composing, but there are plenty of reasons as to why a person might want to change the time signature while they're writing. For instance, the composer might find that the melody or phrase fits better in a different time signature.
Attached is what I mean. The first screenshot shown starts in 5/4 time, however, say after inputting the notes, I have decided that the next phrase will be in 4/4 time. As you can see in the second screenshot, Musescore automatically orders the rests from largest duration to smallest duration. For the readers sake that bar would now have to be changed to what is shown in screenshot three to make it presentable to the performer.
I should mention that I am also using the current update as well.

I see, so you are changing from 5/4 to 4/4? This necessarily involves rewriting all rests - some may now cross barlines, some might need to be combined - but I can see that it doesn't always do this correctly. The good news is, Tools / Regroup Rhythms fixes it quickly. Meanwhile, I encourage you to submit a bug report to the issue tracker (see Support menu above, or Help / Report a Bug from within MuseScore). Attach a short sample score - something in 5/4 showing just a measure like that - and clear steps to reproduce the problem (eg, add 4/4 time signature to that measure).
