When starting Musescore 4, it's very slow to display the interface. And when using NVDA, even by pressing an arrow key, it immediately crashes and aexits. Using a Chinese screen reader Sunshine doesn't have this problem, but since Sunshine doesn't read Musescore (it's Sunshine's limitation), I have to stay at Musescore 3.5.
Comments
I would guess, due to the presence of QML-based Inspector, the crash is likely to happen for the same reason as it was for #298899: Accessibility: crash on Palette search with Qt 5.9 and NVDA. Therefore if/when MuseScore 4 switches to Qt 5.12 or above this issue should likely be fixed automatically.
Or by using a similar hack as we now do for the palettes?
How do you have MuseScore 4?
See https://musescore.org/en/download#Development-builds
To be clear, though - the nightly development builds from master are not anything remotely close to what MuseScore 4 will eventually be. They are purely experimental builds made available for testing but the new MuseScore 4 features have only barely begun to be implemented. We are probably a very long way from these actually being usable.
" Therefore if/when MuseScore 4 switches to Qt 5.12 or above this issue should likely be fixed automatically."
Does the issue still persist? If not, I assume it can be closed?
Now it works well, no crash.
