Disable soundfonts
Just curious, is there a way to disable the loading of soundfonts when you load the program? It takes me about 15-20 seconds longer for the program to load (3.5RC) with soundfonts (sfz type). Sometimes I don't need the soundfonts and sometimes I do. I know you can always just delete the soundfonts, but then you have to reinstall them if you want them again, which is a pain.

Thanks. I know you can do that, but I was wanting my cake and eat it too by just disabling the fonts so I don't have to reinstall them.

OK. So removing from synthesizer doesn't uninstall the fonts, it just disables them?

Yes
Removing them doesn't the delete the files, but it does mean you have to "add" them again, and get them in the right order, which is still something of a pain. I do think an option to leave them on the list but disable them would be good. This is the sort of thing I'd expect to be considered for MuseScore 4 as part of the big focus on playback.
what happens when you want to delete a soundfont ?

Open the synthesizer, choose the sound font, click delete then click Set as Default. The soundfont will still be on your computer but MuseScore won't use it unless you tell it to.

no synthesiser to click on i deleted all my sound fonts and they are still in the drop down list 100's menus take for ever to open up as does loading any scores
the names are in the soundfont drop down list and i am stuck with this issue for evr prophave to delete the program completely and re nstall and set up everything again.....terrible
