Using MuseScore with Kontakt Player in Windows 10
Hello, is it possible to connect MuseScore to a VST in Kontakt Player 6? I am using MuseScore 3 in Windows 10. I tried using loopMIDI to set up a virtual MIDI port, then set MuseScore to output to the virtual port, but Kontakt Player did not seem to recognize it when I set it to receive input from loopMIDI. Is it possible to set up some connection like this? Ideally I would like to be able to use a MIDI keyboard for both entering notes in MuseScore as well as hearing how they would sound in Kontakt (currently I can only use a keyboard for one or the other, but not both functions simultaneously). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If the software you are trying to connect to supports JACK, then you can connect it that way. You would configure MuseScore to send vi JACK in Edit / Preferences / I/O, set up the other program to receive via JACK using whatever facility it provides, then use JACK itself to make the connection.
