Snap pizzicato
I'm looking for a sample of a snap pizzicato for scoring. Is anything like that available?

Also called the Bartok Pizzicato. I am wondering if I can get a whole soundfont of just violin sounds. Free, of course. Violins are probably the most expressive of the orchestral instruments (except maybe Organ, if you consider that an orchestral instrument) so it can make all kinds of unique expressions.

Interesting this. I assume that at present Musescore doesn't actually support this - other than as added text above a note on a stave.
That fits with the idea that Musescore is "merely" a notation tool - though I feel that maybe it has developed a bit beyond that now.
Also see this web site for examples - http://andrewhugill.com/manuals/violin/plucking.html

At the moment it is only supported as notation. You can set the sound to pizz. in the usual manner as well. One problem is that there is no GM standard for snap pizzicato so this is the best you can expect at the moment unless you find a soundfont that includes the snap type pizzicato sound.

I just noticed this, also. Have the new sounds via Muse-Hub but snap pizz sounds the same as regular pizz.
