Repeats don't play

I've just downloaded v3.5.0.13199 and not only did it list all the backup versions with the current ones, but when I played through one of my pieces, it ignored the repeats. I tried re-booting and it made no difference.
Please can I go back to the previous version which worked fine?

Meanwhile, just switch to Page View, then toggle the repeats button off and on again.

If you are seeing your backup files, that would not be due to any change in MuseScore, but rather a change you made to your OS settings, whether or not it shows hidden files.
