Hidden measure rests as standard
I need to create a completely empty staff that only shows time signatures. To do that, I adjust the settings in the "staff/part properties", but the rests are still shown by default.
I know that it is possible to select the same elements on the same staff and the hit the V key, but whenever I add new measure, the procedure starts anew. So I wonder, if there is a staff-related setting available that takes care of that?
Thank you!

Thank you for your response!
I know this is none of my business, and no value judgement involved, but why do you want to do this? Printing blank MS paper? Educational puposes? Do you want the barlines still visible?

Everything fine, glad you asked! :-)
I want to create empty staves that only hold "global score items" like tempo indications, rehearsal numbers, large time signatures, measure numbers...
It is a fairly common approach in other notation programs, too, to use empty staves for that. Helps nicely with spacing.
In a further step I would like to use QML to populate such things automatically (if possible, I know there are restriction), a little bit imitating Finale's "Score list" feature. But that's a long way to go and a lot to learn.
Any ideas would of course be most welcome!

If you only want to see those things rather than print them, try the Time Line from the View menu or f12. That gives you a useful summary view of the score. It is also useful for toggling the visibility of individual instruments.
