making the tie more aprroachable

Hello,

I use musescore and teach it to students and other teachers, and one of the more time consuming problem for us is the tie:
When I want to use the tie, and I press the + key on my keyboard, it automatically adds the same duration. To change the duration of the second note with the tie, I need to press N, change duration, and press N again to continue adding notes.
If you could change the way of the tie input to be like any other note input (press + then press number for duration, than press letter for note) it will be amazing.
