8v functionality failing when using TAB

ISSUE: not possible to use the 8v (octave) funcionality effectively when using linked stave and TAB.

Steps:

1. create a score with linked stave and TAB
2. write some high notes on the TAB, for example G 15th fret 1st string (this will displayed as a note on a ledger line on the stave).
3. apply the 8va functionality to the stave in order to have the G note displayed one octave lower.
   ISSUE: the note doesn't move to the lower octave.

Note: some users suggested some workarounds, but they seem to be quite time consuming when writing a long piece of music.
