Add Fine and DC al Fine to a score.
I imported a pdf and now have it in Musescore3 on my computer. However, the import lost the Fine and DC al Fine that were on the pdf. I want to put them back. The instructions say press Ctrl-T. That does nothing that I can see. The instructions say to use the text menu to drag a text box to where I want the text. That didn't work at all either. I've tried a number of things, but nothing works.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Which instruction says to use Ctrl+T to add a Fine or D.C. al Fine? Ctrl+T is for staff text, not for jumps
My original score was simple duet 3 from Devienne's 1794 flute method. It just has a final measure with a sign symbol. Examining the music, I decided that the structure was intended to be AABA. However, I used a D. S. al Fine instead of D. C. because I start these scores with an empty measure of metronome ticks. (I am doing flute duets and playing only one of the two parts on the computer.)
Here is what I found: With note input mode turned off, go into the palettes and enable one called Repeats and Jumps. With that palette open, drag your D. C. al Fine to the last measure in your piece. It is very finicky about where you can stick it, you move it around in that final measure until you find the sweet spot. It seems to like a blank spot, where the entire measure will be highlighted. Don't worry, that measure will be played before it jumps back to the beginning (or in my case back to the sign symbol). And, of course, in my case, I added a sign symbol to the beginning of section A so that the initial empty measure would be skipped.

A) You don't have to be finicky about placing the D.C. (and related) symbols. They are simply attached to a measure. Just highlight the measure you want them in, and click the button in the palette.
B) This method works in MuS 4, but OP is using MuS 3, which I'm fairly sure (???) works differently for this action. (But since I no longer have MuS 3 installed, I don't know what that different action is.)

Re B) It's exactly the same in MuseScore 3. Select a measure and click on an element in the palette or drag the element onto the measure.

Yes, if you drag it from the pallet. It is much easier to select the destination measure and then just click on the pallet item.
The same goes for all pallet items: select where you want the item to go and then click on the item in the pallet. This even works when you select multiple notes and, for example, click on an accent; The accent gets added to all notes.
Dragging works but needs a steady mouse hand and is limited to a single destination.
