Musescore softlocks when you try to change the size of the preferences window

  1. Open preferences
  2. Try to resize the window lengthwise
  3. Musescore now doesn't work, you have to close the window from task manager or otherwise

More Info: This has happened for a while, the first time I tried to do this whenever I opened Musescore after the issue, it asked me whether I wanted to restore my old session and whether or not I said yes it softlocked me again, making me have to reinstall the program completely. I saw another issue posted about an issue very similar or identical (trying to resize height instead of width) but a major contributor said that a workaround was to change your display settings. These instructions were vague and I looked in Musescore's settings and found no such way to change the size of the windows, so that doesn't seem to be an effective workaround.

First step then is to update to the current version and see if you can reproduce the problem. If you can reproduce using 3.5, please be more specific about the problem - precisely what goes wrong after resizing the window? Are you saying you cannot click the OK button, and niether Esc nor Enter close it either? Do any fields respond to input?
