In this file: misplaced articulations.mscz , placing a staccato on a note moved to the other staff with the anchor position changed from Below Chord to Above chord results in the staccato moving too far away from the note head.

The articulation can be moved using the y offset in the inspector.

Relates to #285233: [EPIC] Cross-staff notation issues
I have the same problem:
Left-hand side: automatic placement for staccatos, right-hand side: below chord. (MuseScore document attached.)
It seems MuseScore is confused about the stem direction here and is trying to avoid a stem that ends up being up when at first it was guessed to be down. Workaround is to force the stem direction up manually.
Seems this may be fixed in current builds of MuseScore 4. If someone has a case where it still doens't work, could you please attach it?
