Alternate tablature fonts?

I've created fonts for tablature and use them daily in other notation applications. But MuseScore only shows a few font choices in Staff/Part Properties> Advanced Style Properties>Fret Marks> Font menu

I don't see how to set the tablature fontFace property to a font installed on my system.

Is there currently a way to do so?

There is currently no way that does not involve building MuseScore from its sources yourself.

I'm glad I made the request then!

So then, if I build MuseScore from its sources, then I'd compile a version with my fonts baked in as resources, and link them to the menu?

You'd have to take a look at how the current list is registered and indeed add your own font there.
