Live applying it might be a bit more difficult, but even if it requires a restart.
There are just too many situations where we have to tell users to run from the command line/adjust their links to launch MuseScore with a forced DPI for their system.

Agreed though I think it's a suggestion rather than a bug.
Imdeed. Relates to #311174: [EPIC] UI/UX issues and suggestions
Yes to all of the above. I also solemnly swear that one of these days I'll get a good rest :)
Aren't you the one that was fixing MuseScore bugs at your wife's birthday dinner?
After dinner.
And really, we also need to investigate more how to best handle things like multiple screens, and especially if MuseScore is moved from one screen to another, or if part of the UI is on one screen and part on another, Also perhaps provide an override for whatever it is that is controlled by QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR. Unfortunately, to have any hope of doing any of this right requires having access to a variety of machines with a variety of different OS's and displays.

It's important to have one's priorities straight. Good for you. (PS: Happy Birthday to your wife).
