I ran the latest update on musescore on October 23rd and now the program doesn't work. It opens up but a popup comes up saying that "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly....." and freezes. My computer is operating on Windows 10. I have tried to restore the computer to an earlier restore point but the restore keeps failing. Is there a bug in the Musescore update? Everything worked perfectly prior to the update.
Thanks,
Phil

Try running the program by double clicking an existing score. If this works, turn off the start center in Preferences and don't use it. See #275837: MuseScore crashes during start-up while displaying "Start center" for more info.

Thanks mike320, that worked, I guess I will have to use an existing score on my desktop as my “start icon”.
You can turn off the start center in edit->Preferences so you can use your shortcut. Selecting the start center will always cause a crash for you until the bug is fixed.
