There are two types of tremolo - the kind where one note repeats and the kind that alternates between two notes. The latter is indeed basically a trill, so the same algorithm *could* be adapted.
Just that trill are usually in the tonality in witch you play , so in G Major if you trill on a F(#) it will be G F(#) so just a half "ton" ; and with D you will trill with E (1 "ton")
and you can have trill with a flat or sharp above that means the note will be alterated...
can it be add with the option : half or whole ton ?
As far as I am concerned, I'd like if it is added to hear the right one I wrote, or which is understood by the tonality ; else I prefer not to hear it if it may wrong
for tremolo you see the two notes to tremolo with ! It sonds siplier to play by midi...? Am I right ?
The two note tremolo I was referring to *is* a pitch variation. You put it between two notes, and it means to rapidly move back and forth between those two notes. It's a common violin technique, not so much seen in other instruments. But MuseScore 2.0 Beta 1 *does* play it back, and the mechanism it uses is basically indistinguishable from a trill. So as I mentioned, the code could probably be re-used. But as ChurchOrganist says above, there are so many variations on trills that it is pretty unlikely anyone would be completely satisfied with whatever the defaults were were start note, end note, speed, etc.
That's true, could we not get it to work by using a similar method to how grace notes currently work? As in have a palette of different combinations for turns, mordents, normal trills etc and write our own? I appreciate that will be very complicated to create and it isn't something that can be done overnight but I certainly think that it is a feature that should be looked into.

If I'm not mistaken, trills play between two notes, while tremolos only play one. Wouldn't this sound incorrect, or is there another theory?

Ah, got it. Thanks fer learn'n me dem two trem'los. :P
Tremolo is basically a volume intensity variation, not a pitch variation.
What kind of trill??
Starting on the upper auxiliary?
Or on the main note?
Does it begin with a turn?
Does it end with a turn?
These are just some of the factors that need to be taken into consideration when implementing this feature request.
This, I believe is why trills just don't work.
Once the piano roll view is working properly it will be possible to define your own ornaments, like we could when Open Goldberg was in the news.
Personally I can't wait :)

I copyied some chamber music with piano, and even if there are not written the same way (I think) there are some tremolo in there....
That's a very good point, I suppose it would be quite difficult to write the function, but I'm sure there is a way around it.

This is what I was thinking

Let me know you feedback about trills and other ornaments.
I'm marking this as won't fix. If the OP disagrees after looking at https://musescore.org/en/node/56281, please comment again.
