Musescore 3.6 keeps crashing when I open recent projects.

When I open older scores it loads up nicely with the new font selections and such, yet when I open scores that I have been working on recently, it causes the software to crash. I have tried uninstalling musescore, and all of its lingering apps and files, and redownloading the entire application, and nothing changes. I can't even view the versions saved online. I get a "page not found" screen and it says that they don't play this version of musescore yet. Is the file gone forever? I sincerely hope not. Please.
