Measures
I have a question. I have a piece of sheet music that has a repeat to play two verses. There is a measure that should only be played during the first verse and not the second. Is there a way to skip the measure during the second repeat?

Yeah I thought about Volta's only this measure is in the middle of a repeat. Something like this.
Left repeat/measure/measure/measure/MEASURE only for first verse/Measure/Measure/Measure/Volta 1/Right repeat/Volta 2.

If it is really the complete measure only on that first repeat, than you can add a volta to it (even though it's a middle measure).
I'd then change the volta text however to something like "only first time" to make it look less like a volta and not confuse your performers too much.

As far I can see it would only work, if you extend the first Volta to the measure only for the first verse, and copy and paste the measure behind also to the second Volta. Or if you're using a "D.C. al Coda"/"D.S. al Coda".
A kind of
First time only
, that would be very useful indeed. Unfortunately I haven't seen this.
