MScore 3.6 extremely slow when scrolling

Hi,

I am using the latest linux appimage on ubuntu 20.04. It does not crash, but it is EXTREMLY slow. The 3.6 beta was fluent to use, but scrolling in the release version got much slower and I can hear my CPU working a lot. Symptoms include delayed scrolling in playback, and jumping around in manual scrolling using the mouse or bottom scroll bar.

I have a very decent setup (AMD Ryzen 5 3600X) and a modern graphics card, so the change must have been introduced between some 3.6 RC and the release version.

Hi,
This reply is a little late but I think I know what the problem is.
I think it's a compatibility issue with high res screens such as mac retina etc.
I use two screens, iMac and a cheap old monitor.
Scrolling and responsiveness is terrible on the Mac but when I drag the MS window into the old monitor it works absolutely fine.
So I can't see how it's a graphics card issue.
