Midi keyboard doubles the note/
I have an older midi keyboard and I found a way to plug it in to my MacBook. After figuring it out I managed to plug it in to Musescore. After all that each time a press a note it doubles it.

Not sure, if it helps, but for this user from the German forum with a similar problem some years ago, the reason seemed to have been, that the midi keyboard was sending signals on two midi channels at the same time: https://musescore.org/de/node/167181. Maybe you've to adjust it on your keyboard?

Set it up to not send midi events on more than one channel

Probably it is in some sort of "layer" mode where it's trying to play piano and strings together or something like that. You need to put it into its "single" mode instead. Or whatever your particular keyboard calls these.
