Linked Staff Missing
Greetings,
Since the latest update some of my scores have lost the linked staff and only show one staff.
I always format my melodies the same way, with a standard notation staff on top and a common tab underneath. Since the latest update some only me the tablature staff. This is confusing and a bit frustrating.
Has this issue been reported before and if so is there an easy fix without reformatting each score?
Thanks,
Michael

Also, if I open your score with MuseScore 3.0.2, it doesn't contain the standard staff with your attached mscz file. So doesn't seem to be an issue of MuseScore 3.6.1. You've to add the linked staff inside the instrument dialogue again.

I am suspecting Musescore 5.6 is making a change to the original file without going through the save process then. Quite a number of my older files are having the same issue. I am up to 30 or so but if that one opens incorrectly now in 3.0.2 then something has been changed to the original.
Is there a way to change the default font and size of tab in the new version? The defaults are way too small for me to read. Otherwise I am looking at at least 2 hours of clicking and changing screens and clicking again.

5.6? Rather 3.6, but no, as said abobe, even 3.0.2 doesn't show a linked staff. And 3.5.2 doesn't either

Defaults sizes of things are changed in 3.6 the same way they are changed in previous versions - using Format / Style. Although for details of tablature, that's a staff properties, again, just as in previous versions. I'm not aware of any changes here.
The score you posted has customizations to the the fret size, made in staff/part properties, under advanced style properties. It's set to 16. Presumably you made that change yourself back then when you created this score, and the process is the same now. If you don't want to have to do that for every score, simply set up one the way you like (including use of linked staves) then save it to your Templates folder. you can then select it from your Custom Templates whenever you create a new score, and it will automatically get that same setup.
Score stems from MuseScore 3.0.5 and does not contain any linked staves.
It is easily added though (here in 3.5.2)
So to be clear: this score may have had a linked staff at once time, but if so, you must have removed it long ago. no version of MsueScore since 3.0.5 - released two years ago - has ever saved this file, and when 3.0.5 saved it, it did not have the linked staff. So the fact that you are only noticing this now after the release of 3.6 is a complete coincidence.

Thank you all for your input. I am convinced that it was on my end and not in the software. I have no clue how it happened but I am sure somehow an archive folder got moved into my active drive. That bright light yonder would be me blushing.
