Verse numbering: Any Ctrl/Cmd-Space jumps like normal space
I am writing Text in Japanese on a Mac (macOS 10.15, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.6.2.548020600, revision: 3224f34), but the problem occurs with German as well.
Input works fine, but I cannot place a verse number at the beginning with cmd-Space (and any other combination of keys I have tested). Any combination jumps to the second note.
Thanks for any help.

Try Alt+Space, that's what the handbook claims for Mac, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/lyrics#special-characters

Thanks a lot!
I read cmd-Space for Mac vs. Ctrl-Space on Windows in some places. But I remember my first try was alt-Space; it is reserved for another helper on my Mac, but I changed it for the time being. Thanks again.
