Adding different kinds of lines

Is there a way to add a different kind of line to the Lines Panel? I am working on a transcription of some ancient music that has a lot of hemiolas. I would like to indicate them in the score with a line—something that would not be visually confused with a slur but would behave the same way. Like this:
