I was just inputing a simple tune and started from scratch and still the same results. I reported this the other day, but thought a new fresh file might change things, but no. So one more file to test. Good luck!

That score plays and repeats just fine here
Make sure the 'Play Repeats" button (looks like a ":|", an end repeat barline) in the Toolbar is pressed.
You had been told that in https://musescore.org/en/node/318280 already...
What version have you been using before 3.6.2?
