Augmentation and diminution - not only factors of 2.
The current feature of Paste in Double or Half duration allows the creation of canons with augmentation etc.
However, I wonder why this has to be restricted to powers of 2. Admittedly few composers have used really unusual factors, but it seems to me that maybe allowing factors of 3,5,7 and 11 might not be totally worthless.
Probably not a very high priority, but could be nice to have.

It secretly isn't. But it can't convert to/from tuplets.
Have the quarter note duration selected in the toolbar when performing the copy; then select a corresponding other duration (for example dotted half note) before doing the special paste. (this if from the top of my head, there might be some details to this that I don't remember, but a quick search through the forums on here should reveal that info).

Close :-). The way it actually works is to select a duration on the toolbar corresponding to what you want the quarter note to turn into, then do the "paste special" command, and it will scale everything accordingly.
Also missing from this description is how to do the command. It's not found in any menu, but you can define a shortcut for it ("paste special") in Edit / Preferences / Shortcuts.

Now you have me lost. I can't find any Paste Special in the current version, though I have found references to "paste special" for MS using search engines. I just can't figure out what "paste special" is trying go do, unfortunately.
