Backtracksand play alongs

I would like to play the solo line of a piece while Musescore played the accompaniment or piano lines. I would like to see the lead line but not hear it.

It would also be nice to compose "backtracks" which a solo musician playing a single instrument could use.

I play a EWI (I say E-WE) and would like to be able to pace myself against a robot track in rehearsal.
Who knows? Maybe backtracks will become a viable thing used in public.
