Create new instruments
Hello! I'd like to know how to create and save a new instrument. For example, I transcribe south-american ensemble with local instruments like Charango, Bombo Leguero, etc. So It'd be quite useful to be able to create and save an instrument also for composing with new luthery as we, classical contemporary composers, do.

Also, would it be possible to this new instrument to add our own sounds? Like soundfont or how it could be? Thanks :)
For playback, you can design a soundfont contains samples of the instruments, or find one online (probably they exist already for common folkloric instruments such as those).
For notation, you really don't need anything special. Just take a standard guitar or bass drum or whatever and change the name and other properties as desired. You can save the resulting score as a template for easy reuse in the "Create New Score" wizard. But you can also encode your instrument definitions into an XML file that MuseScore looks at when ignoring the templates and instead using "Choose Instruments". To do that, go to Edit / Preferences / Score and specify your XML file as a secondary source. The format isn't exactly documented, but the default version already included with MuseScore (you'll see it listed there) is a good model.
