How do I explode on to two or more staves

I have a project that I'm arranging and the score I am using has clarinet 1,2,3 on a single staff. I would like to explode this into three new staves, one for each part. I can't figure out how. When I highlight the line and hit explode, it just goes to the bassoon and oboe and other lines.
