My playback controls are greyed out.

I can not use any sound or hear any of my notes as I place them. I've tried factory resetting, MIDI outputs, and completely reinstalling for 32 bit and 64 bit. Neither worked. I don't know how to get it back to working and what to use just to have the regular sound output.
