Hairpins
Hi,
I would like to create hairpins that can go through two or more bars across two different pages. I don't want to use an individual hairpin for one page and then another ordinary hairpin for the other, what I would like is to have is an ordinary hairpin on the first page and then for the next hairpin to begin on the next page but with the beginning of the second hairpin to not be joined together with a point, instead to start open (so there is a gap between the two lines of the beginning of the hairpin). Similarly, if there is a diminuendo hairpin, I would like to be able to end it with the lines open. I hope this makes sense! Thanks.

This is possible. See http://musescore.org/en/handbook/hairpin. Just click on starting note, shift click on ending note, type h or H for crescendo resp. diminuendo.
Thank you Jojo-Schmitz! That's really helpful. Have been puzzling over that for a while!
Hi,
I posted a question very recently about hairpins (how to get a hairpin to be spread across two pages). Another Musescore writer, Jojo-Schmitz very kindly gave me some advice which worked perfectly over the last couple of days, but now, for some reason, it's stopped working on my computer even though everything else is working fine. What I've been doing is clicking on the starting note, shift clicking on the ending note, then typing h or H for cresc. resp dim. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this isn't working anymore? Thanks very much.

Are you still using 1.3? The shortcuts changed for 2.0 Beta 1, to "<" and ">".
