Sound problem
Dear all,
I updated musecore to version 3.6.2
Then I discovered that Musecore cannot sound string notes. That means only can sound piano. My Mac version is 10.12.6. Even I downgraded musecore to old version,It still cannot sound.
May I know how to solve this problem?
Comments
In MuseScore strings do sound, and as strings and ever since, so downgrading won't change that.
It would only though if a suitable sound font is loaded, the default soundfont for example. Some other soundfonts are not GM compatible and may not have a strings sound or have it at a different location than MuseScore expects it..
So first make sure that the default sound font is a) loaded and b) the top on in the list (of the Synthersizer's Fluid tab)
Also make sure to not change a non-single-note-dynamics part to use an "expr." sound
If that doesn't help, share the score

Could you please provide a link to download front ‘tjhopugh‘?
By the way, I haven’t change the default front.

That was a typo, fixed now...
If you haven't change the soundfont, strings (I assume you mean violins and the like) would sound as sich (and not as Piano).
If not, as said above, a score is needed
My guess is you created a piano score then tried to change the sound to strings rather than changing the instrument, or else you used a string instrument but changed the sound to one of the non-"expr" sounds. Either way, there could be a mismatch in how they handle dynamics that could prevent them from sounding.
As mentioned above, if you attach your score we can understand and assist better.

I opened a new file and created string. Input the score on string bars but no sounds. What can I do now?

That's not a score, but a picture of one.
We can't hear anything on pictures ;-)

To be clear: we need the actual score - the MSCZ file you already have saved to your computer. So, much easier to attach than a picture, and much more useful to use if you want help, also!

THere's a very good chance the problem is with your score, in which case we need you to attach it as we have already asked.
Otherwise, the problem is with some setting that you may have customized inappropriately. So you could also try Help / Revert to Factory Settings.
But if that doesn't work, it's almost certainly a problem with your score, so once more, we need you to attach it in order to assist further.

Reset to Factory setting then string can be sound.
