Project
Open a new musescore project. Set the meter to 6/8. Create two voices. Have the top voice be resting the entire measure ie. dotted half rest. In the bottom voice notate a dotted quarter note and then delete the note. There should be a stray dot remaining. It's a relatively minor issue as you are able to select the dot and delete it but it's an issue nonetheless.

can you attach a sample score?
Of course, I tried to do that with the post but for some reason I couldn't do it. When I opened the document after saving and closing it, the bug seemed to go away on it's own so I included a screen save from my computer of the bug in action.
So is is just a visual glitch, nothing survives a save/close/reopen.

That seems likely; it's just one of those quality of life improvements that can be made at some point. It's just good for these to be catalogued so that they can be fixed in the future.
