RNA analysis - Inversions
Is it possible to get a chord notated as Ib in Roman Numeral Analysis?
Every time I try I get either a small flat sign, or a raised small b. That's not what I want at all.
I think in the US that would be a I superscript 6 notation - but it would be nice to have the option to do Ib.
Presumably Ic and Id would work - which indeed they do. It's just the Ib which doesn't.

Yes, precede the "b" with a backslash. That's how to disable the normal automatic processing of characters anywhere in the Campania font (which is what RNA uses). So you could also get I6 without superscripting the same way, FWIW.
For the record, superscripted numbers are the standard inversion notations in most of the world, not just the US. As far as I know, it's only the UK and associated countries that use the letter notation.

Possibly agree about the UK - but it's what we have done for centuries I think!
