Musescore 3 and Mac Big Sur 11.5

Musescore 3 behaves inconsistently on Mac Big Sur 11.5. The icon in the dock blanks out sometimes as well as in the Applications folder.

I also have to keep the Musescore installation folder on my desktop or else I have to re-download and reinstall. All other applications are found in the Application folder with none of the above happening.

I can use the app in spite of all this. It just seems odd that this peripheral stuff is happening.
