Repeats

I created a simple song, Spotted Pony, in Musescore that has a couple of repeats. When I tried to play the song the repeats did not work.
I closed the Musescore program and reopened it. Tried to play the song. No repeats.
I opened another song that had some repeats. They did not work either.
Am I doing something incorrect?
