Can I delete the 4.5.2 and 4.5.1 versions from my computer? I HATE the new versions and desperately want to use just 3.3 or 3.4
Can I delete the 4.5.2 and 4.5.1 versions from my computer? And if so will I be able to work on scores I tweaked or wrote with the awful 4.5.1 version? I HATE the new versions and desperately want to use just 3.3 or 3.4

You may need v4 versions to be able to export your scores as xml so that you can open them in v3. V3 and v4 don't interfere with each other.

I don't understand any of that lingo sorry
If you're on Windows, you can uninstall Musescore Studio 4.x.x. Version 3.7 will read 4.x.x files.

I have an apple computer. I want to make sure that if I uninstall the programs, that the music that is now on it (most of which I made on earlier versions and now it is suddenly on the 4.5.1) doesn't disappear forever... would it be saved into the earlier version?

Oh I think you answered my Q. If I uninstall the latest programs then the earlier version will read the scores... right?

No! ONE particular version would read your files saved in 4.*. ONLY Jojo's 3.7. The first suggestion was (basically) that you take your files created in 4 and save them in musicxml format, which can be read by any version of MuseScore. They were recommending that you leave 4.whichever you have so that if you miss one/some scores, you can transfer them in this fashion.
MuseScore is perfectly happy with both version 3 and version 4 simultaneously installed on a computer.
