Multi Measure Rest in single part
How do I get MuseScore to indicate 16 measures of rest at the beginning of the piece? Or, any duration located throughout the piece when entering a single instrument. I am transposing one instrument to another.

Start entering notes at measure 17. Just leave empty measures where you want them. If MuseScore is showing a multimeasure rest where you want to enter notes use keyboard shortcut M to toggle multimeasure rests off (and again to toggle them on when you want them).
