Unlinking Staves for Slide Guitar Transcription

Hello,
I am trying to create a transcription for the "Layla" solo on Musescore 3. I have the parts written out with the notes, the only problem is that sheet music should be notated as an octave down (with 8va to indicate it would be played an octave higher as written) but if I try to change that, it changes the tab. Is there a way I can edit these two staves separately so the sheet music portion is written an octave down, while not changing the tab?
