Measures not being deleted
Hi,
I was working on a project and needed to delete a measure, only to find out that ctrl+delete wasn't working, and I don't know why. I opened a new project to try on it and it worked fine. So I guess this one project ctrl+delete wasn't working, but why?

Ctlr + Del works fine here on your file.
Check again the shortcut, in Preferences? (and your keyboard?)
If the shortcut doesn't work anymore for you (I've heard of Mac-users running into that issue, though there it is Cmd-Del which is "fixed" by a restart) then does the menu option still work?

I remember using the menu option and not working. However, restarting seems to have solved the issue.

I'm on MacOS and occasionally find Command-Delete failing to delete selected measures, and the menu option not working either. And indeed, when I restart MuseScore the problem is resolved.
Do you know if there is a Issue Ttracker report on this?

Pretty sure. But no one has found a reliable way to reproduce it, so no work can begin until then anyhow. On the other hand, I don't know that anyone has ever reproduced this issue using a development build of MuseScore 4. It's possible the enormous under-the-hood changes have rendered it moot, whatever the bug is may have already been swept away. So first step to getting it fixed would be finding out if it still exists in MuseScore 4 and then finding a way to reproduce it.

I see. It's good to hear about Musescore 4, I'm very excited for it... Is there a planned release or is it done when it's done?

It is planned (see for example https://musescore.org/en/node/325860) but it'll be done when it's done.
